Calm Down Britain
In 1985, fresh from banning “video nasties”, the British Board of Film Classification experimented with soothing messages after horror films to “settle and reassure the psychologically-fragile viewer”.
Only a small number of Calm Down Britain VHS tapes made it out into the wild before it was renamed to UKalm then shut down, but we’ve managed to get hold of one and digitised it for posterity.
